A Message from David Crook

Dear Families,

Due to the ongoing recovery efforts after Tropical Storm Helene, we have made the decision to extend our school closure through Friday, October 4th. We know many of you are still facing challenges with power and internet outages, and we want to ensure that everyone has the time needed to focus on personal and community recovery.

During this closure, you may still see assignments or live sessions scheduled in the. Please feel free to ignore these. Many of our teachers are also affected and may not have access to cancel assignments or live classes.

• No work will be required during this time, including:
• Benchmark testing
• KRA testing
• IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Class Connect sessions

Additionally, for students who were scheduled to start on October 2nd, their start date has been pushed to October 9th.

We appreciate your understanding and support during this time, and we will continue to provide updates as needed. Stay safe, and we look forward to resuming normal operations once it’s safe and practical to do so.
