CASC student overcomes obstacles and finds a unique path toward academic success

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The path on the journey towards academic success looks different for every student, and on that path comes a unique set of challenges to overcome.

One local student’s journey has looked unlike most, but his perseverance speaks to the fact that success is never out of reach.

Lee Braswell is a soon-to-be graduating senior at the Cyber Academy of South Carolina.

He’s battled severe dyslexia throughout his entire life and was unable to read or write until the third grade.

Ever since making the switch from a typical brick-and-mortar school to online learning, he’s proved that no goal is out of reach when you persevere and have the proper support system.
