It’s never too early to start thinking about life after high school. And at CASC, qualified high schoolers can get a head start on their future goals by taking advantage of dual enrollment opportunities. That means your student can be enrolled in courses that will count toward their diploma, plus earn them college credits they’ll be able to apply toward a degree. It’s double credit for the same work, which saves students time, giving them the chance to earn a degree faster.

What is dual enrollment?
Dual enrollment courses are approved courses taken through a high school or partner institution which allow qualified students to apply earned credit to both their high school diploma and postsecondary degree. One high school credit and three credit hours can be earned per course.
How much does dual enrollment cost?
The enrolled student’s family is responsible for paying dual enrollment tuition, and the cost varies by school or partner institution and the courses taken. South Carolina high school students may be eligible for Lottery Tuition Assistance which pays about 60% of tuition costs.
How many college credits can my student earn while in high school?
There is no mandated limit to how many college credits a student can earn while in high school.
From which colleges can students earn credit?
Students enrolled at CASC may only earn dual enrollment credit for courses which are applicable to baccalaureate degrees or to associate’s degrees offered by institutions accredited by the New England Association of Colleges and Schools, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Western Association of Colleges and Schools, or the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools.
How do I enroll my student in dual enrollment courses with CASC?
First, you need to enroll your student at CASC and schedule time to meet with your school counselor. Then, your student will need to enroll in the college through which they wish to earn credit and complete the steps necessary to register for class.

While CASC offers a comprehensive selection of courses, not every K12 high school course is available to CASC students. Information on specific courses of study and available electives are provided upon enrollment. For details, please speak to an enrollment consultant during the enrollment process.
**Many Microsoft®️ Office certificates can be earned after completing one course. Other certificates require more classes to be better prepared, and students who participate in the program for at least two years will have further preparation for certification testing.
